제목 | Energy-efficient cool paints including modified ceramic materials |
초록 | Energy is a very important key factor for the movement of the economic and the nation development all around the world. Nowadays, the energy consumption has been increasing continuously. The energy consumption for building envelope accounts for about 50% of the total energy consumption because of the air-conditioning energy consumption. Therefore, the government has stipulated many regulations and policies for the most effective energy consumption. There are many methods to save the energy. One way to reduce the energy saving for building is to employ cool paints on building’s exterior. In this study, flake shape ceramic materials were modified with silane coupling agent in order to improve the performance of heat insulation. The cool paints mixed with surface modified ceramic materials contribute to the reduction of the surface temperature. The reflectance of cool paints was 13% higher for the conventional paints. Also, the surface temperature of the cool painted samples were reduced about 10 ℃ compared with conventional paints at similar color when exposed to infrared radiation. |
