Porous Titanium Scaffolds using Rapid Direct Deposition of TiH2 Paste |
초록 |
Bio material scaffold are great importance for tissue engineering and orthopedic implant owing to they enable support biological property and biomechanical property for surrounding bone. These biomaterial scaffolds require good porous structure such as porosity, pore size and good interconnectivity with pores. Recently ceramic, polymer and metal have been extensively used as bio material for fabricating porous scaffold to promote bone ingrowth in to pore. However, ceramic and polymers have limitation of high strength and easily transform, they are less appropriate in load-bearing application. Otherwise metals and their alloys have been widely studied for orthopedic and dental implants because they have good mechanical properties, biological properties as well as bio compatibility. Therefore this research reports simple method with successfully developed to fabricate porous titanium with fully interconnected pore networks. Porous titanium (Ti) scaffolds with 3-D interconnected pores were produced by rapid direct deposition of TiH2 paste. This slurry prepared with distilled water, MC as binder and TiH2, in which a TiH2 paste pressed using rapid direct deposition in acetone bath which induced fast solidify via solvent extraction. This method allowed good filament and controlled macrochanneled TiH2 scaffold without any collapse. The fabricated scaffold showed any noticeable crack in the wall after sintering at high temperature. |
