MXene, 2D transition metal carbides or nitrides (Mn+1XnTx) with few atomic thickness, large surface area, and rich surface fuctional groups, shows many excellent properties including high electrical conducvitiy, flexibility, and dispersion/processability (ink or paste). To provide organic-dispersible MXene, proper surface functionalization with organic ligands through either covalent reaction or noncovalent interaction is required. While several types of surface functionalizaiton have been demonstrated, all the preservation of high electrical conductivity of pirstine MXene, organic dispersability, and oxidation resistance have been never reported until now. In this work, various types of organic and polymeric ligands will be exploited to meet the above goal and discussed with the case-by-case application of prepared organic MXene inks or pastes. |
