Self Assembly Behavior of Bio-conjugate between Nickel Complexed Nitrilotriacetic Acid-Polystyrene(Ni-NTA-PS) and Histidine-Tagged Green Fluorescent Protein(His6-GFP) |

Polymer-protein bio-conjugate has been widely employed in the field of biotechnology and nanotechnology. In this report, we investigated the self-assembly behavior of conjugates between histidine tagged Green Fluorescent Protein (His6-GFP) and nickel complexed nitrilotriacetic acid-polystyrene (Ni-NTA-PS). The bio-conjugate forms micelle of 60~80 nm diameters in DMF/H2O. The size of micelles decrease to 40~60 nm when GFP is released by adding of excess immidazole. The morphologies of polymer-protein bio-conjugate were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). |
