Conjugated polymers (CPs) of polythiophenes and polyselenophenes were explored as a flexible energy harvester, taking advantage of their electrochemical tunability and intrinsic flexibility. CP films were prepared in a simple process through an oxidative polymerization and integrated easily into flexible substrates, to afford wearable energy devices. The energy harvesting from CP films could be optimized by the morphology and doping state of CPs, to provide high photothermal, thermoelectric, and mechanoelectric conversion. A flexible energy harvester was prepared from CP films, to harvest energy from multi-sources. This multi-source energy converting film devices could benefit not only in enhancing energy extraction from renewable resources but also exploiting a multifunctional energy harvester operating under different environmental conditions. |
