Synthesis and Characterization of Ag doped ZnO composite by a Hydrothermal Process |

ZnO(Zinc Oxide) powders were synthesized by hydrothermal process with aqueous ammonium hydroxide as a precipitation agent. The pH of solution increased to 7, 9 and 11 by adding drop wise ammonium hydroxide solution in Zinc nitrate hexahydrate solution at room temperature. ZnO composite was obtained at the range of 185-210℃ and 6 hr. The shape of ZnO powders were rods and a little different following pH. The average size of the synthesized particles were below about 5-10㎛. The XRD diffraction pattern shows that the synthesized particles were crystalline. The XRD indicates that all the products synthesized under varied conditions are hexagonal structure. The ZnO was characterized by XRD (X-ray diffraction), FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope) and EDS (Energy dispersive spectroscopy). |
