제목 Sustainable doping of graphene via intercalation of solvent
초록 We devised a method for the stable p-doping of chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown graphene, using a common solvent. Immersion of the transferred graphene into chloroform (CHCl3; CF) solvent induced strong and stable p-doping on the graphene, without sacrificing transmittance. After doping with CF, the work function of the graphene increased from 4.61 to 5.18 eV, and the sheet resistance decreased from 630 to 300 Ω/□ . These stable doping properties were caused by the intercalation of CF molecules at the interface between the graphene and the SiO2 substrate. CF clusters were formed beneath the basal plane of the graphene as well as inside the wrinkles. This was verified by microscopic observations, and measurements of the energy associated with the desorption of CF molecules from the graphene using the Arrhenius plot. Theoretical calculations of the intercalated structure supported the experimental observations of CF clusters beneath the graphene.
