제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Pyrrolinium Based Ionic Liquids as Electrolyte for Lithium Ion Batteries
초록  Currently, lithium ion batteries (LIBs) have been applied to not only small electronic devices but also large energy storage systems. Although LIBs have been considered to be promising rechargeable power sources for next-generation HEVs, the safety issue of LIBs must be overcome to realize large, high-power, and high-voltage LIBs. Under this circumstance, ionic liquids (ILs) have been highlight as an alternative electrolyte to enhance the thermal stability. ILs are salts that remain as liquids state at room temperature even if they are composed of ionic species. Thus ILs are unique properties such as high ionic conductivity, non-volatility, and non-flammability as well as a wide liquid range and wide electrochemical stability window.
 In this presentation, we prepared the pyrrolinium-based ILs and studied the thermal behaviors and physicochemical properties of prepared ILs. Among the synthesized ILs, the small scale of anion component has a positive effect on existing in the liquids phase at room temperature.
