제목 Morphologically tunabled synthesis of upconversion nanoparticle for theranostic application
초록 Over the past few decades, lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) have been widely explored as a multifunctional nanomaterials due to their unique photon upconversion process which can convert near-infrared (NIR) excitation light into high energy luminescence. NIR irradiation has lower photo damage effect, a large penetration depth in tissues, and it can avoid the auto-fluorescence interference of biological sample and light scattering phenomenon, which can reduce the background light and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. Thus, UCNPs have attracted increasing attention in biosensing, bioimaging and disease therapy. In this work, UCNPs with various sizes and shapes were synthesized by thermal decomposition method. Their surface modification was conducted for further biomedical application. The relationship between luminescence properties and morphologies of UCNP were investigated.
