Size-Tuned Synthesis of Magnetic Nanoparticles: Cyclodextrin Supramacromolecules as A Tool |

Magnetic nanomaterials are receiving great attention due to their outstanding properties that are size-dependent and lead to a number of applications. Here, we report a size-tuned synthesis of superparamagnetic nanohybrid particles, mediated by cyclodextrin supramacromolecules, using a novel process under ambient conditions. The morphological evidence of the magnetic nanostructures was attained from transmission electron microscopy. The superparamagnetic behavior of the magnetic nanohybrid materials was confirmed from vibration sample magnetometry and the saturation magnetization was found to be 20 emu/g. The nanocomposites were also characterized by powder-XRD as well as UV-vis, FT-IR, NMR, and EDX spectroscopy. Further, the thermal stability of the hybrid nanomagnets was determined from thermogravimetric analysis. |
