In this study, polymer/clay nanocomposites were prepared poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/Na+-montmorillonite(Na+-MMT) and organoclay. Na+-MMT has become organized as octylamine, octadecylamine, trethanolamine. Organoclays have different alkyl chain length and functional group. It investigated their crystalline behaviors depending on the organic modification of clay. As a result, PVA/clay nanocomposites were formed intercalation and exfoliation structure by contents of clay. Polymer matrix was affected by added silicate. In this affect, silicate disturbed polymer crystalline formation that reflected the decreasing enthalpy of crystalline. |
