The effect of hydrophobic coating on water vapor barrier level |
초록 |
Polyvinylalcohol(PVA) has attractive characteristics like a high barrier level and optical property. Thus composite films contained Montmorillonite(MMT) have been investigated for many industrial applications such as food and pharmaceuticals packaging. However, PVA coated film has the poor water vapor barrier level, for reasons of the high solubility of PVA in water. To enhance the water vapor barrier level, PVA/MMT composite film coated by hydrophobic materials like Polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA), organo clay etc. As a result, the surface of this double layer film has a high hydrophobicity identified by contact angle. Furthermore the content of the organo clay correlate with the barrier property. |
