제목 An Exploration of N-Heterocyclic Carbene Ir(III) Complexes for Phosphorescence Organic Light-Emitting Diode Applications
초록 Two new blue emitting heteroleptic Ir(III) complexes containing difluorophenyl methylpyridine based main and carbene based ancillary ligands were synthesized(fpmpy)2Ir(fpmb), and (fpmpy)2Ir(pmb). Generally, the emission properties of Ir(III) complexes are primarily controlled by the main ligands, in divergence the ancillary ligand and it’s substituents also play a role. The approach utilizes to get different Ir(III) complexes with and without of fluorine atom in the ancillary ligand and explored for PhOLEDs. Both Ir(III) complexes show exactly similar UV-Visible absorption spectra with irrespective of fluorine atom in the ancillary ligand. The PL spectrum of (fpmpy)2Ir(fpmb) shows double emission bands at 464 and 482 nm in dichloromethane solution. Both the Ir(III) complexes were utilized for blue PhOLEDs with the device configuration of ITO/HAT-CN (10 nm)/TAPC (45 nm)/mCP: dopant (10%, 20 nm)/TmPyPB (40 nm)/Liq (2 nm)/Al (120 nm).
