PVDF/PEGDMA- and PVDF-HFP/PEGDMA-coated PE separators were prepared by a dip coatingmethod and a subsequent electron beam irradiation. SEM images of the prepared membranes showed that various morphologies could be produced by changing the composition of PVDF/PEGDMA or PVDF-HFP/PEGDMA. The effects of the coated polymers (PVDF or PVDF-HFP) and PEGDMA on the physio-chemical properties of the prepared polymer-coated PE separator such as porosity, liquid electrolyte uptake, ionic conductivity, and thermal shrinkage were investigated in this paper. |
