Recently DPC(diphenylcarbonate) was synthesized from DMC (Dimethylcarbonate), which is usually synthesized from CO, methanol, and O2. In this process, when DMC reacts with phenol and bisphenol-A by trans-esterification, MPC (Methylphenylcarbonate) and methanol are produced as intermediates. However, relatively very few investigations of the phase equilibria and mixture properties for systems containing MPC have been reported. In this work, therefore, the ternary liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data are reported for the system {MPC + DMC + water}, {MPC + methanol + water} and {MPC + phenol + water}. |
