Several N,N-bis-(3-n-alkoxy-2-hydroxypropyl)-N-methylamines were prepared as the key-intermediates for fire-retarding agents by the condensation reaction between alkyl glycidyl ethers and dimethylamine without a solvent. The above amino-alcohols were reacted with phophating agents such as POCl3 and phosphorous pentaoxide. The structures of the products were characterized by H-NMR, FAB-mass and FT-IR. Three products of B-BAP, IP-BAP and A-BAP were obtained in yield of 89.6%, 88.86% and 72.36% respectively. |
