Polyimides (PIs) are widely used in microelectronic and photonic fields because of their good thermal and mechanical stability. Cyclodextrin (CD) related materials have been greatly developed owing to the CD’s unique character which can form inclusion complex with other organic compounds, and these materials can be widely used in many fields such as pharmaceutical industry and polymer synthesis. To make the hybrid films, the modified β-cyclodextrin and polyimide based on pyromellictic dianhydride (PMDA)- 4,4’-oxydianiline (ODA) were used. The CD was monofuntionalized in order to good interaction between PIs and CD. The composite films were prepared through simple ultrasonic dispersion and subsequent in situ polymerization process. After that, they were fabricated through thermal imidization. In this work, we prepared and characterized hybrid materials of the PI with modified β-cyclodextrin. |
