제목 Electrical and thermal conductive properties of carbon nanotubes depending on their pre-treatment methods
초록 Generally, most thermoelectric materials are ceramics or metals such as Bi2Te3. However, there are some problems in these materials. For example, it is very expensive to fabricate and hard to fabricate in large area. In these reason, we have paid attention to organic materials as new type thermoelectric materials. Especially, we chose carbon nanotubes because of high electrical conductivity and one dimensional structure. In this study, we compared the thermoelectric properties of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) depending on their pre-treatment methods (mechanical and chemical treatment). With SEM image analysis, we explained a relationship between the thermoelectric properties of each treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes and the morphological features of each treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes. We obtained the electrical conductivity approximately from 1500 to 3500 S/m. Also, the power factor was reached to about 2.0㎼/m∙K2 at 50℃.
