Electrochromic device is changing optical property like color and transparency depending on electric voltage. This electrochromic device has widely used such as anti-glare rearview mirrors in cars or smart window for energy efficient architecture. In this work, we fabricated a simple deformable hydrogel-type electrochromic device based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and Borax has been developed. The first step is fabricated stretchable transparent electrode. We used pre strain PDMS and silver nanowire using spray coating method. Second, we make simple hydrogel using PVA and borax solution then added electrochromic material like viologen. And we assembled these two electrode using sandwich structure. We introduce hydrogel electrolyte because of the liquid electrolyte has leakage problem and solid electrolyte has limited transparency and slow response time. We investigated UV-Vis spectroscopy, response time, color-bleaching time and performance change depending on strain or cycle number. |
