제목 Improvement in the dispersion stability of ZAO/acrylic copolymer nanocomposites by nonionic surfactants
초록 Nanocomposites were prepared by using zinc aluminum oxide (ZAO) nano powders and acrylic copolymers. Nonionic surfactant was used to minimize the aggregation of ZAO in the acrylic copolymers. Acrylic copolymers were synthesized by solution polymerization of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate with AIBN as an initiator. Several different kinds of nonionic surfactants were prepared by the reaction of nonyl phenol with ethylene oxide. The reaction products were of the type commonly described as alkylaryl polyether alcohols. The transmittances of ZAO/acrylic copolymer composite films were measured in the wavelength range of 200~3000nm. All nanocomposites showed the high transmittance in the visible wavelength range due to finely dispersed ZAO nano powders and low transmittance in the ultraviolet wavelength range due to effective absorption by ZAO nano powders .
