The hydrophobic and oleophobic organic-inorganic hybrids have synthesized by sol-gel technique using polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS), 2,2,3,4,4,4 hexafluorobutylmethacrylate (HFBMA), and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS). PMHS was reacted with HFBMA and Pt catalyst by hydrosilylation process as forming FPMHS precursor. The precursor was reacted with different quantities of TEOS with water and ethanol solvent at 70-80 °C for 24 hours. The hybrids were spin-coated on glass substrates and baked at 150 °C for 24 hours. Similar reactions were carried out at different pH conditions using 0.1M HCl and 0.1M NaOH. The hybrids have been analyzed by FTIR, 1H-NMR, 29Si MAS-NMR, XPS and SEM with EDAX, AFM, XRD and TGA. The static contact angle for water, soybean oil and the dynamic contact angle to water and ethylene glycol were measured using drop shape analysis system. The prepared hybrid thin films exhibited good transparency, hydrophobic/oleophobic characters and good mechanical properties. |
