Tetraselmis sp. MBEyh01L were used in assessing nutrient recycle of phosphorus from HTL solid residue separated by filtration. To recover phosphorus from solid residue, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid were used on different acid concentrations at room temperature. About 90% of phosphorus were distributed to solid residue after marine microalgal HTL process. Phosphate recoveries from solid residue generated by the HTL of Tetraselmis biomass were found to be effective on 0.3 N acid concentration of three kinds of reagents at an acid to solids ratio of 30 mL/g for 120 min. Recycling elemental resources such as phosphorus from the HTL biofuel conversion process can provide a significant reduction in media cost and improves the prospects for industrial scale, marine microalgae-based biofuels. |
