In this study, aligned carbon nanofibers (CNFs) were fabricated by electrospinning technique in order to fabricate aligned CNFs as a supercapacitor electrode. Preferentially the random and aligned polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning. As the increase of speed of rotary collector, the degree of alignment was increased. When the speed of collector reached 2000 rpm, we took well aligned CNFs. The randomly oriented and aligned PAN nanofibers were carbonized in tubular furnace at 900 oC for 1 h. Due to unique properties such as electrical conductivity and surface properties generated by one-dimensional aligned nanostructure, the electrochemical properties of aligned CNFs were enhanced. The outstanding electrochemical properties of aligned CNFs were investigated cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge test, and electrochemical impedance analysis (EIS). |
