Graphene/carbon nanotube (CNT)/poly(styrenesulfonic acid-g-aniline) (PANI) composites were prepared through direct exfoliation of graphite and CNTs using PANI as a surfactant. Compared to other fabrication methods for graphene/CNT/PANI composites such as in situ polymerization and electrodeposition, the direct exfoliation method produces high quality of graphene because graphite is directly exfoliated without chemical treatment, and the method also minimizes the fabrication step by simply mixing graphite and PANI. When the capacitance was measured by three-electrode setup, the composite had a specific capacitance of 421 F/g at 1.0 A/g. This high value may arise not only from hierarchical structure, in which 3D conductive network is formed by introducing CNTs into graphene/polymer composites, but also from advantages of high specific area of graphene and high pseudo-capacitance of PANI. |
