Synthesis and characterization of polystyrene-carbon black core-shell composite particles for electronic-paper display |

Functionalized carbon black was used with surface treated polystyrene particles for polystyrene-carbon black core-shell composite particles. These composite particles were controlled by some factors such as the size of bare particles, the amount of carbon black and the conditions of reactions. These core-shell composite particles were characterized by using particle size analyzer, FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analyzer, SEM and TEM. The electro-optical properties of polystyrene-carbon black composite particles controlled in size were investigated by electro-optical measurement system for the application of electronic-paper display |
