For ideal ultra-hydrophlic elastomer materials, a series of the hydrophilic polyethylene glycol(PEG)/2,2-Bis(hydromethyl propionic acid)(DMPA)/hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) based Polyurethanes(PU) were prepared. From the relationship between the composition and their properties, the optimized PEG/DMPA/PDMS based PU for ideal ultra-hydrophlic elastomer materials are developed. In this study, the effect of composition on the particle size, viscosity, water contact angle, water absorbability, water vapor transmission rate(WVTR) and mechanical property of waterborne polyurethane dispersions or films was investigated. |
