제목 Preparation and characterization of intramuscular injectable Marbofloxain loaded PLGA/Poloxamer microparticles manufactured by using S/O/W solvent intra-extraction evaporation method
초록 Fluoroquinolone antibiotics are common treatments of infectious diseases resulting from bacteria. In the treatment for antibiotics, there is serious problem that antibiotic resistance is a result from frequent and excessive administration. It is important to minimize the risk of resistance and to maximize the drug efficacy. The aim of this study is to develop intramuscular injectable polymeric particles which have high drug content along with controlled release profile. Marbofloxacin loaded PLGA/Poloxamer microparticles were prepared by a S/O/W solvent intra-extraction evaporation method. The microparticles showed spherical shape with size around 80~130μm. Drug loading efficiency was about 55~85%. At in vitro drug release study, the significant increase in the rate of drug release was observed when the higher ratio of Poloxamer to PLGA. For example, when the ratio of the Poloxamer increased from 0 to 0.17, the percentage of the released drug until 48 hours increased 40 to 90%.
