Synthesis of Energetic Polyacrylate-b-PEO Copolymer using Click Reaction |

Energetic materials form an integral part of most weapon systhems and a large number of new high-energetic materials : Insensitive high explosive and energetic binders have been reported in the literature in recent. In this study, Polymer containing azido and dinitro was synthesized using RAFT process. Polymer containg azido group was achieved at room temperature because the azido group is unstable under high temperature condition. Poly(3-azidopropyl acrylate-co-2,2'-dinitropropyl acrylate) was coupled with PEG diaceytylene via a highly efficient "click" reaction to be utilized as a promising energetic binder for PBX. |
