제목 | Red Color Mechanism of the Glaze using AuCl3 |
초록 | The metal which give red color in glaze and stain are Cu(copper red glaze), Fe(iron red glaze), Cr(chromium pink glaze), Cd-Se(cadmium selenide red glaze). Cu is proper metal for red color stain or glaze on reduction firing, but it has fastidious firing condition. Au is used for pink or red colored glass production since long before. The main purposes of this study are to develop the stable red color glaze on oxidation and reduction firing, and to find the developing color mechanism using AuCl3. The glaze are characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, Raman microscopy and Raman spectroscopy, SEM and EDX. The color of glazes are measured by UV-vis spectroscopy. The results showed that the base glaze for developing red color using AuCl3 is lime-barium glaze. When AuCl3 is used with Na2CO3 together, it gives more effective color. The values of red glaze CIE- L*a*b* exhibit 31.62, 14.80, 9.24 on oxidation, and 37.01, 14.15, 10.75 on reduction firing, respectively. |
