We describe materials having unusual excimer formation based on a new type of triple core concept. 1,6-Di-anthracen-9-yl-pyrene (1,6 DAP core), 1,6-Bis-(10-phenyl-anthracen-9-yl)-pyrene (1,6 DAP-P) and 1,6-Bis-(10-[1,1';3',1'']terphenyl-5'-yl-anthracen-9-yl)-pyrene (1,6 DAP-TP) were synthesized through boronylation and Suzuki coupling reactions. In contrast with general excimer structure, triple core according to substituted bulky side groups with steric-hindered and distorted structure was showed excimer. In vacuum deposited film, photoluminescence (PL) maxium values have 462nm as 1,6 DAP core, 455nm as 1,6 DAP-P and 455nm as well as 591nm as 1,6 DAP-TP. |
