제목 Preparation and Utilization of UV Curable Polymer Colloidal Particles Containing Magnetite for Magnetically Controllable Photonic Band Gap Applications
초록 In this study, we prepared UV curable Polyethyleneglycol-diacrylate(PEGdA) sphere containing magnetite(Fe3O4) as the building blocks for constructing magnetically controllable colloidal Particles. The magnetite was synthesized by the coprecipitation of ferric and ferrous ions in ammonium hydroxide solution and then coated by PEGdA in methylene chloride. The characterization of these colloidal particles were performed by attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared(ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), transmission electron microscopy(TEM). To investigate the tunability of photonic band gap, we prepared the solid photonic crystal of PEGdA/Fe3O4 sphere by UV cure and observed a tunable stop band that can be controlled by magnetic field.
