In this work, Organic-inorganic composite membranes from sulfonated polyimide and zirconium sulfophenyl phosphate(ZrSPP)s were synthesized. The sulfonated polyimides(SPI)s are synthesized from 1,4,5,8-NTDA, 2, 2’-BDSA as the sulfonated diamine, and mixing the DMD. And ZrSPPs are synthesized from zirconium oxychloride, phenyl phosphoric acid(PPOA). The synthesis of ZrSPP was confirmed by phosphate(P-O) stretching bond, and pick is 900-1300㎝-1 in FT-IR. These composite membrane characterizations were evaluated for TGA, ion exchange capacity(IEC), water uptake, and proton conductivity. Through property of water uptake and ion exchange capacity increased with the ZrSPP weight ratio, also the proton conductivity of the composite membranes shown similar trend with weight percent of ZrSPP. Besides this film consist of hydrophilic polymer matrix because put the ZrSPP into SPI. It is expected to durable the composite membrane with their high proton conductivity at fixed high temperature. |
