Characteristics of ink-jet printed OTFT using TIPs-pentacene blended with various polymeric binders |

6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl) pentacene (TIPS-pentacene) is the well-known organic semi-conductor material. However, the polymeric binder is essential for device fabrication using solution process such as spin-coating, drop-casting, ink-jetting etc. We have fabricated the organic thin-film transistors using TIPS-pentacene blended with various polymeric binder as the active layer material and ink-jet process. And then we investigated the OTFT characteristics of fabricated device. The main purpose of this work is to identify the characteristic of TIPS-pentacene OTFT affected by various polymeric binders. They had significantly and diverse impacts on the TFT characteristics such as the morphology, crystallization and crystal orientation of TIPs-pentacene, ultimately the electrical properties of the device. |
