제목 | Core-shell Macrobead for pH-Sensitive Drug Delivery |
초록 | Selection of hydrogels applied in such processes depends on the characteristics of the gel and the drug or protein. Hydrogels have several important characteristics to be considered in drug diffusion including ionization of the gel, swelling ratio, and reaction to the external environments such as temperature, ionic strength, and pH of the swelling agent. In this study, Chitosan- Hyaluronic acid hydrogels were prepared, and swelling behavior and stimuli-sensitive properties in various pH environment were investigated. Core/shell macrobeads were prepared with the formation of the ionic bonding between amine groups of chitosan and carboxyl groups of hyaluronic acid. Lysozyme was used as a model drug. Cationic Lysozyme in the physiological pH were successfully loaded in the core/shell macrobeads by ionic interacation with anionic core (Hyaluronic acid). With the ion exchange of lysozyme with proton, pH-sensitive release pattern was observed. Reference 1.
