Iron have relatively low cost than other FTS reaction's metal and high activities for FTS at high temperatures. To enhance catalytic performance and product selectivity, promoters such as manganese, zinc, and potassium were widely used for the iron-based catalysts. Among those promoters, potassium has an ability to improve the adsorption of CO and olefin selectivity with the formation of active iron carbide surfaces. In this study, iron-based catalysts were prepared by pyrolysis of NO2-MIL-101(Fe) in order to form active iron carbide phase, and potassium promoter was added into the NO2-MIL-101(Fe). Using as-synthesized catalyst, CO conversion, C5+ and olefins selectivity have been increased greatly. To characterize those phenomena, various analyses such as XRD, N2 physisorption, XPS were performed. |
