제목 | The Investigation of Sodium N-lauroyl-L-glutamate and Chitosan Interaction in W/O/W Multiple Emulsion |
초록 | Chitosan microcapsules containing the cosmetic active ingredient retinol were prepared by water-in-oil-in-water multiple emulsion(W1/O/W2) in order to enhance retinol stability and control its release rate. Water insoluble membrane of chitosan microcapsules was formed by interacting the cationic chitosan with the sodium lauroyl glutamate(SLG) at the outer O/W interface. The particle size distribution, zeta-potential, retinol loading efficiency, retinol stabilization effect, the retinol release rate from the microcapsules were investigated. Chitosan microcapsules have 4.5~5.0㎛ size distribution. Increasing the SLG concentration in the inner water phase results in increased zeta-potential( Fig.1) and in slower release rate of retinol. Remaining retinol percentages at 45℃ after 30 days in chitosan microcapsules were 54.6%(SLG 0.0%), 65.7%(SLG 0.04%), and 70.5%(SLG 0.08%), respectively( Fig.2). Fig 1.
