Anion Sensitive Fluorescent Organogels Containing Hydroxyphenylbenzoxazole moieties |

A new series of low molar mass organogelators containing 2-(2’-hydroxyphenyl)benzoxazole were synthesized on mild condition. Organogelators could gelate in various organic solvents and co-solvents at 1 wt(w/v)% by heating-cooling method. Electron microscope measurements gave visual images of self-assembled structures of organogels. Optical properties of organogels were confirmed with UV/vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Upon addition of anion species, self-assembled gel structure showed gel-to-sol transition and fluorescence emission was dramatically changed. |
