To date, various solution approaches have been extensively investigated for preparing anisotropic nanomaterials with 1D and 2D morphologies. Among them, metal chalcogenides have garnered attention owing to their superior properties. In particular, heterostructuring composed of dissimilar metal chalcogenides has received great attention due to their diverse potential advantages and desired properties that cannot be attained using each single component. Consequently, synthetic approaches are crucial for design of 2D architecture, because the resulting functions are highly related to the structural features such as architecture type, composition, spatial arrangement of each component, crystal structure, exposed facet and interface, dimensionality, etc. In this talk, we will introduce the recent progress on the solution-based synthetic approaches to prepare various 2D metal chalcogenide nanomaterials with heterostructure on the basis of growth mechanism. We will also talk about the discussions on the challenges to be investigated during synthesis, at the end of the presentation. |
