In recent times, electrochemical methods have become attractive alternate to the conventional degradation methods. Here we report a specific example of electrochemical degradation of a volatile organic compound in presence of an electron-transfer catalyst in solution, and how the cyclic voltammetry technique can provide first-hand information on the degradation kinetics and the mechanism of degradation. |
