PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) known as silicon polymer is a biocompatible material due to non-toxicity, biocompatibility. However, high hydrophovicity of the PDMS surface makes it incompatible with cell adhesion and proliferation. Also, bacterial infection of PDMS implants lead to side effect. In this study, we fabricated PDMS nanosheets with a structure similar to the ECM (extracellular matrix) by electrospinning. Then, PDMS nanosheets surface was modified with a COS (Chito-oligosaccharide) that improve cell proliferation, differentiation and antibacterial. The physicochemical properties of PDMS nanosheets were confirmed by FE-SEM (Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy), FE-TEM (Field-Emission Transmission Electron Microscope), Contact angel, Tensile strength, FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) and TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis). Cells cultured on PDMS nanosheet was confirmed by CLSM (Confocal laser scanning microscope), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy). |
