Poly(amino benzyl alcohol)(PABA)-introduced poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG) in backbone and side chains was synthesized in acidic solution via the chemical oxidative polymerization of 2-aminobenzyl alcohol using ammonium peroxydisulfate as the oxidant. The resultant polymers were characterized by 1H and 13C-NMR spectra for confirming their structures. Ion conductivity as well as electron conductivity was measured to investigate the combined effect of introduction of polymer electrolytes and salt in conductive polymers. The electrochemical, thermal, optical properties and morphology of PABA/PEG were investigated in comparison with those of pure PABA by UV-vis-near-IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), photoluminescence spectra and scanning electron microscope (SEM). |
