In recent years, various kinds of phase change material (PCM) as energy storage materials have been widely studied. In this work, monodisperse PCM microcapsules were prepared by using Shirasu porous glass (SPG) membrane emulsification. SPG method facilitates precise size control and high encapsulation efficiency; therefore, the PCM microcapsules prepared by the method will be used as a biosensor, electronic device, display as well as conventional heat storage products. The chemical structures, morphology, and heat storage capacity of the prepared PCM microcapsules will be discussed. |
