pH sensitive poly(acrylic acid) (PAA)/Pluronic F127 (PLF) hydrogel containing tulobuterol loaded silica was prepared with various PLF contents. The effect of the PLF content and silica on the release behaviors of the PAA/PLF hydrogel was investigated. The results showed that the swelling ratio and rate of the hydrogel were decreased with increasing the PLF content compared with pure PAA hydrogel, whereas the stability of the hydrogel was increased by the addition of the PLF. The release behaviors of the hydrogel showed that the release rate of the pure PAA hydrogels were increased with decreasing the pH value of release medium, whereas it was decreased with the addition of the PLF, resulted from decreasing the swelling rate. Also, the hydrogels containing tulobuterol loaded silica showed the sustained releas behaviors due to the delayed diffusion rate of the tulobuterol in the release mediums. |
