Investigation of Gamma-ray Irradiated Aqueous Pluronic® F127 Solutions |

Pluronics are polyoxyethylene-plyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene (PEO-PPO-PEO) triblock copolymers. When the pluronic F-127 (F-127) concentrations are at or above 16% in the aqueous solutions, they show interesting thermal behaviors. The F-127 forms soft gels when rised at body temperature, which are suitable for application to bone substitute. The aim of this work was to observe the thermal behaviors of the F-127 solutions in gelation phenomena. The F-127 solutions were characterized by varying the concentration and analyzing their thermal behaviors. |
