HA-PLGA Nanopaticles for Controlled Release Formulation of Paclitaxel |

A novel protocol for the preparation of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) grafted hyaluronic acid (HA-PLGA) polymeric micelle system was successfully developed for tumor targeting cancer drug delivery. The mean particle size of HA-PLGA, which was in the range of 100 nm ~ 250 nm, could be controlled by changing the reaction conditions. The drug loading capacity measured by HPLC method was ca. 84 % (w/w). In vitro release tests showed the continuous release of paclitaxel up to a month. These novel HA-PLGA nanoparticles incorporating paclitaxel with EPR effect will be further assessed by in vivo release tests. |
