제목 Dielectric Properties of Dy3+ doped Sr0.5Ba0.5Nb2O6 (SBN) Film with Nano-size Grains
초록 SrxBa1-xNb2O6 (SBN) is the lead-free ferroelectric solid solution between BaNb2O6 (BN) and SrNb2O6 (SN) with tetragonal tungsten bronze (TTB) structure, and for its compositional flexibility, it widely used for various devices. Rare earth elements, Dy3+ is successfully doped into A2 site thus enhancing the ferroelectricity than pure SBN. The capacitor is required for continuous development of the electronics industry. For the better capacitance, the large dielectric constant and broaden phase transition for temperature stability is required. Lattice distortion brought by Dy3+ making the domain reverse easily, thus breakdown voltage is low. To increase the breakdown voltage, ceramic should have high density and nano sized grains. Aerosol-Deposition (AD) has been applied to fabricate the film with nano-sized grains. AD can fabricate a ceramic film through the collision of fine ceramic powder particles onto the substrate. The (sub-) micrometer-sized particles are crushed to nano size. This dense film can have a high breakdown voltage than bulk SBN. In this experiment, we deposited the Dy3+ doped Sr0.5Ba0.5Nb2O6 film with nano-grains and the dielectric property was characterized.
