제목 Incorporation of Ru(II) complex with P3HT: A new hybrid material for dye-sensitized solar cells
초록 Poly(thiophenes), particularly P3HT investigated extensively for more than two decades, largely because of their excellent electrical and optical properties, which can be exploited for many potential application such as, organic field-effect transitor (FETs), chemosensors, electrochemical capacitor and solar cell. In this study we coupled with Ru(II) complex with regioregular P3HT to further improve its efficiency in dye-sensitized solar cells. The end terminated P3HT was successfully functionalized by bromination followed by incorporation of the terpyridine or bipyridine ligands by using palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction and then complexation with ruthenium(III) salts. The synthesized polymer was fully characterized by UV-Vis, NMR, photoluminescence, CV, GPC and SEM. The synthesized hybrid polymer-metal complex materials are expected to exhibit enhanced efficiency in dye-sensitized solar cells.
