제목 Preparation and Characterization of Dexamethasone-loaded Polymer Films
초록 In this study, dexamethasone(Dex)-loaded poly(lactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA), poly(L-lactide)(PLLA) and poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL) films were prepared as a drug carrier. Each polymer film with 10% Dex was fabricated by the method of solvent casting and characterized by scanning election microscopy (SEM). Dex release in vitro was monitored at 37℃ and the released Dex was measured using UV spectrophotometer at 243 nm. The release profile of Dex-loaded films showed an initial burst for 3 days, followed by a sustained and slow release. The release patterns of PLGA, PLLA and PCL films were comparable to each other. The degradation rate of then seemed to be dependent on the type of polymer and the thickness of films. Thin polymer films degraded faster and resulted in relatively higher drug release rates.
