Ion exchange membrane is applying from the various field. SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene) is low price and have a good mechanical, physical and chemical resistance. In this study, the sulfonated SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene) cation-exchange membranes was prepared by sulfonation at the benzene ring of SBS membrane. The SBS membranes was prepared for using solvent-casting method. Existence of sulfonated group at the prepared SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene) cation-exchange membranes confirmed by FT-IR, and then the basic property of membrane was confirmed by degree of sulfonation(DS), water uptake, ion-exchange capacity and electrical property. |
