제목 Flame retardant properties of thermoplastic polystyrene formulated with a new phosphor-nitrogen based flame retardant
초록 Flame retardancy of the polystyrene formulated with a new phosphor-nitrogen based flame retardant (FR) was investigated in the study. Recently, a new type of phosphor-nitrogen based flame retardant used in this study was developed in our research group. Nitrogen content of synthesized flame retardants was ranged from 9 to 14% and phosphor content was 10 to 16%. The difference of tensile properties of styrene formulated with a various amount of new FR was not so significant in the ranges from 15 to 30 weight percent of FR. However, the tensile strength of styrene resin decreased dramatically when the content exceeds of FR reached to 45%.
